The Green Season is now upon us, and as the custom goes, the eco tour department at Crocodile Bay Lodge has been seeing some of its most impressive wildlife of the year. We have seen two groups recently who have had an extremely good time while spending their vacation with us in paradise.

The Headrick party of four went with us for a primary rainforest safari. They wanted to see what the rainforest had to offer them as far as potential photo opportunities went. They only had a half-day to spare. So we were going to do our best to provide them with as much wildlife action as was possible in the five-hour time frame available. By the time we returned to the lodge, we had seen and photographed Scarlet Macaws, Toucans, Spider Monkeys, Squirrel Monkeys, White Faced Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, caimans and an adult as well as a baby Sloth!

The Finkbeiner party of two was a father and son team destined to have a great time in paradise. After the three minute car ride to the hotel from the airport, I knew that such an intelligent, articulate young man and an athletic father were certainly going to get the best out of this area on their vacation. The first day they chose to attempt to master the incoming offshore swell that has been repetitively beating the shoreline for the last few weeks here. So in we went with two boogie boards and four fins. After about the first hour, we had admitted that we would not be mastering the sea that day, as we dragged our waterlogged boddies back out of the water.

So the next time you are thinking about taking a trip to see wildlife previously only viewed on television, or taking adventure tours the likes of which your friends have never dreamed of- come to Crocodile Bay Lodge, where mere vacation days can be exchanged for memories that last a lifetime.
